The designer's note

Star looking up into a low evening sun, mouth open in a happy pant, the rose tongue out. The sun rims the crown, the far ear, the chin and the chest in pale amber; the face and the ear sit in warm dark amber and root beer. The near eye is honey amber so it reads from across the room. 77 pieces of glass in 27 shades.
